Sport and Recreation Officer

The purpose of the Sport and Recreation Officer is to develop, coordinate and deliver sport and recreational programs and activities to members of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community within MHSL Geographic Service Area to increase active participation and improve health and wellbeing.

 

This Position aims to increase the physical activity levels of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within the community. Physical inactivity has been identified as a contributing factor to the gap in health and life expectancy.
