Quality & Compliance Coordinator

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality & Compliance Coordinator to support the coordination and ongoing improvement of our quality, compliance, and accreditation systems.

Mamu Health Service Limited is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service delivering culturally safe, high-quality primary health care across Far North Queensland. Position Description

About the Role

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role supports compliance and governance activities across both clinical and corporate functions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating internal audits and tracking corrective actions
• Maintaining compliance registers and document control systems
• Supporting external accreditation processes (ISO, RACGP, AGPAL, HSQF)
• Monitoring incidents, complaints, risks, and legislative obligations
• Preparing compliance reports and summaries for Senior Management and Board
• Supporting policy review, governance documentation, and continuous improvement activities

This role contributes directly to maintaining safe, accountable, and culturally respectful service delivery across all MHSL programs.

About You

  • You are highly organised, analytical, and confident working within structured systems and regulatory frameworks. You understand the importance of accuracy, governance integrity, and professional conduct in a community-controlled health environment.

In your cover letter, you must clearly address the following and provide practical examples from your previous employment:

• How you have successfully managed multiple responsibilities, prioritised competing tasks, and met deadlines in a structured or regulated work environment.

• Your experience maintaining accurate records, registers, or compliance documentation, and how you ensured adherence to policies and procedures.

• How you have communicated and worked collaboratively across teams, particularly in culturally diverse or community-focused settings.

• Your understanding of quality, compliance, governance, or accreditation frameworks, and how you have applied policies, standards, or procedures in practice.

• Your ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and sound judgement.

An understanding of cultural safety, particularly when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities, is essential.
